A New Global Brand

The Brand Name – Lagoi Bay – alludes to the stunning bay area in the north of Bintan Island. Translated in the local language, Lagoi Bay means the Bay of the 6th month, a month of luck. It is supposed to bring good weather and abundant luck, throughout the year. Its Chinese equivalent for Lagoi bay is ‘Natural Bay’ –  “六月湾” (Liu Yue Wan).

Lagoi Bay sets to transform Bintan from a predominantly lifestyle resort destination to a playground for action, enjoyment, entertainment, education, excitement, endearment.

The Brand Identity

Our brand identity is dominated by the number ‘6’. This identity uses informal and friendly typography to symbolise the fun aspect of the brand. There is a special significance to the number ‘6’ as it replaces the alphabet ‘G’. Visually, the character ‘6’ depicts a mirror image of Lagoi Bay. ‘6’ is also an auspicious number in Chinese and many other Asian dialects. It is a representative of Lady Luck!
